Dar el relevo
Can someone explain to me what this phrase means?
|
to pass the baton ? (in a relay race, or metaphorically to hand over something like a task to someone else)
Edit: to pass the buck? |
yes, to pass the baton, to give the turn to another
"el viejo director pasó el relevo de la fábrica a su nieto más joven" Saludos :D |
Y su nieto más joven tomó el relevo. :)
(By the by, I have heard more often "tomar el relevo" than "dar el relevo", but both are understandable. (Donde las dan, las toman.) |
