Sorry that this is in English: I read a bit of Spanish but I'm far from fluent in it and don't want to embarass myself by trying. I'm a novelist living in Sacramento, California. I'm currently working on a science fiction novel set in the late 2030s in Sacramento. Since the population of California will be majority latino by then I figure that while English will still be the everyday language of Californians, their speech will be full of Spanish (or Spanglish) terms and idioms. So I look forward to advice from all of you.

You'll find those conditions already exist in certain places. Perhaps the people living in those areas would be able to offer assistance.

What you're asking isn't clearly stated, and seems too broad in scope.

Hey, welcome! Yes, you can ask specific questions and we will always be happy and willing to oblige... as long as we know the answers... :)
As Rusty says, there are places where this 'futuristic' prediction is quite a reality... (and in many cases, the "Spanish" or "Spanglish" being used... in sign buses for example... is quite "corrupted"... But hey! that is the way it's evolving... After all Spanish is no other thing than a corrupt version of Vulgar Latin!)
Like Terminator says, 'Hasta la vista, baby'... or "no problemo" (which in Spain you would say "No hay problema") :rolleyes:
