Metido de lleno

In full force? Fully motivated?

Tomisimo July 23, 2010 08:04 AM

How about "all the way in"? Do you have the full sentence where it was used?

poli July 23, 2010 08:27 AM

Your definition seems right David, and now it seems obvious. To be difinitely in.
Thanks,

Tomisimo July 23, 2010 08:30 AM

No problem. "De lleno" can be used in many contexts to mean fully, completely, totally, etc.

agree. "Completely in"/"Fully in"
Saludos :D

I also agree...
de lleno = fully
se dedicó de lleno a su trabajo
= she dedicated herself fully/entirely to her job
el sol le daba de lleno en la cara = the sun was full on his face/was shining directly on his face. :)

and, "to the brim."
depending on context.

JPablo July 29, 2010 04:21 AM

Yes, I agree with "to the brim" or even "brimming"... in specific contexts.
