What does this mean??? it was written by a Puerto Rican woman....

we were talking about this guy...
i asked her if she liked him and this was her answer...

si u mi enamore de el pero bueno que mi pase por estar boscarle la quarta pata al cato lol

(she speaks Spanish exceptionally but she does not write it that well)

it looks like it says yes i love him but what happened to me for looking for him............

It doesn't sound like a native Spanish speaker for me, but in standard Spanish I think it should say:

Sí, me enamoré de él, pero bueno, es lo que me pasa por buscarle la cuarta pata al gato.
(Yes, I fell in love with him, but well, that's what happens to me for getting into complicated matters)

The usual saying in Spanish is "buscarle tres pies/patas al gato" or "buscarle cinco pies/patas al gato" though.

Me parece muy probable que la "u" debería ser "y". ("Sí, y me enamoré...")
