Welcome. Here are some corrections.
No estoy aprendiendo (or No quiero aprender) español por una novia (or para buscar alguna novia) sino para el conocimiento del idioma.

Others may offer other ideas. Good luck in your studies.

Thank you. this is my second day on this forum. surely i will put some photos about India. My native languages are English, Hindi and Marathi. There are about 25 regional languages in India. Hindi is national lamguage of India which join all Indians. Each state has its own regional language. So from school level, we learn 3 languages. english+ hindi + regional language.

You are the second person in our forums that speaks Marathi. I haven't heard from that other member for about a year now. I hope you enjoy your stay in the forums!

I find it very interesting. Would you mind to tell me at what age do you start learning the three languages? Do you think that students are fluent in all of them at an early age? Are the regional languages 'dialects" from Hindi or independent languages? Are you able to study any of those regional languages even if you are in another region?

Forgive me my curiosity. Now I'm studying sociolinguistics as a subject and I find the coexistence of three languages fascinating (and I know almost nothing about India :o ). Thank you. :)

si. con el placer... !!!
In India, we start to learn languages at age 6 in schools. As you know, child can learn mothertongue at his home, friends, parents, surroundings. books in mother- tongue are easily available in each country.
unfortunately, all regional languages in india has separate orthography and modes of writing. although each language is rich of big name authors, poets, books etc.
lots of people from India learn another regional language. but all know hindi [national language] and english.
we are good at english because we were colony of England. we got freedom in 1947.
so English language and Cricket are gifts from British we got........!!!
[similarly, spanish/ portuguese people ruled over latin amerca , mexixo... and French - africa ]
Not much awareness in India about other languages i,e,spanish german italian. etc.
but I find spanish [and italian, portuguese] is very much similar to hindi and marathi.... not orthography.. but mode of grammar.
e.g. indirect object use before some verbs... adjective = noun = gender matching... reflexive verbs/ pronouns. .....!!!

thanks alot jessica .... i will take your help in chinese.
thanks irmamar --- for taking curiosity...
Hasta pronto.

eccentrika September 27, 2010 06:49 AM

yes.......i don't feel bad if some one correct me...!! that inspire me to do better again...!!
eccentrika - correction...!!! :-)

irmamar September 27, 2010 06:52 AM

Corrections are good. Although I think that a lot of corrections in a text don't help a lot. A few corrections are more effective (in my opinion  ). :)

eccentrika September 27, 2010 07:04 AM
