This is a school assignment. We were asked to write an essay about a time that we have faced or witnessed discrimination using some preterit and imperfect. It is difficult! Could someone look over the writing and point out any serious errors to me? Thank you so much!

Soy un muchacho como muchos de los otros muchachos en mi escuela, pero de vez en cuando, tenía una problema chica con mi nombre. Me llamo Kevin Noto. Noto es un nombre italiano, pero cuando gente oyeron el nombre, pensaron que soy asiático. Mi nombre no importa a muchos de la gente; otros creyeron que ser asiático es una cosa mala. No entiendí y sentía malo. No me importa de donde una persona recibió su nombre porque ellos están naciendo con lo.

Mi Tía Lisa es Corea. Su apellido es Smith porque ella casó mi Tío Scott y Scott tiene el apellido Smith. Cuando gente encuentran ella, están sorprendidos porque ella es asiática. Ella no se ocupaba.

Mi Tío Gary habla chino y vivió en Chino por diez años. El trabajaba en internet y hablaba por teléfono y muchas de sus clientes no conocían con su cara. Era cómico cuando ellos aprendían que él es un blanco y no un Chino.

Usted no puede aprender alguna cosa por una persona solomente de su apellido, y es posible ofender alguien si usted comete un error por su raza porque de esto. Espero que la gente no vean el color de la piel porque no es importa.

Thank you very much. Yes, I have a lot of problems with the verbs. I turned in the homework assignment before I could make any changes. I'll probably score low on it, but I deserve a low score! The prompt was difficult and it was hard for me to try and work in the preterit and imperfect verb forms. I still need so much practice.
