Saludos a todos,

Que piensan ustedes de la idea de tener una seccion del foro dedicado a dichos en espanol y en ingles donde podriamos compartir el dicho equivalente en los dos idiomas?

Por ejemplo:

De tal palo, tal astilla=A chip off the old block.

o

Eso es harina de otro costal=(quizas? Que piensan ustedes?) That's a whole different ballgame? (o algo por el estilo).

A mi me fascinan los dichos y muchas veces, claro, el dicho equivalente no se trata de una traduccion exacta, de palabra por palabra.

Y hay muchos dichos que me gustaria conocer para enriquecer mi lenguaje.

Hoy estaba pensando en: Better safe than sorry.

Alguien quiere intentarlo?

Great idea marsopa but to use a dicho, this will open up a whole can of worms because every country and even region of that country has its own sayings or dichos. Still, your idea is a interesting. But,I think Tomísimo will
have to change its name to Tomismísimo if a dictionary of sayings is added.
