¿Me pueden decir si están bien escritos estos párrafos, por favor?

El semestre pasado (ella) tuvo que escucharlos [...] Los escuchaba cada día por la mañana y decía que eran muy interesantes. Parece que aprendió muchísimo y le gustaron mucho.

El semestre pasado (ella) tenía que escuharlos. Los escuchaba cada día por la mañana. Eran muy interesantes. Parece que aprendió muchísimo y le gustaron.

El primero está escrito como si hubiera una paúsa, ¿no?

I am not completely sure I understand your comment about the pause. However, both sentences could be correct. When you use tuvo, this for me puts more emphasis on the fact of the completed act (in this case the completed semester now over and done). When you use tenia, it emphasizes the ongoing boredom of listening every day or whatever for the whole time.

like marsopa, I don't understand the [...] thing and the pause. and like marsopa says, both are correct.
"Parece que aprendió muchísimo y le gustaron mucho." Two much "mucho". the second version it's better "Parece que aprendió muchísimo y le gustaron."
using "tenia" emphasizes the ongoing boredom of listening every day or whatever for the whole time (thanks marsopa :D) or it sound as she was forced to hear.

For quoting my rambling sentence. :o Then just now I noticed that the next sentence says that whatever was being listened to was "interesting..." :D I guess I got such a strong impression of boredom from the imperfect, sabes?
