"Aun" y "Aunque"
Hi, can someone please tell me what the difference is between saying "Aun" and "Aunque"? They seem to be used similarly.
|
Yes, they are similar in usage (in one sense) (Aunque is also "although").
I just give you a couple of examples that may be illustrative, aun adv = even; ni aun trabajando 12 horas al día podríamos hacerlo = we’d never be able to do it, (not) even if we worked 12 hours a day; aun así, creo que le debes una explicación = even so, I think you owe him an explanation... aunque (+ indicativo) although; aunque llegamos tarde conseguimos entradas = although or even though we got there late we managed to get tickets aunque (refiriéndose a posibilidades, hipótesis) (+ subjuntivo) even if; come lo que te sirvan, aunque no te guste = eat whatever you’re given, even if you don’t like it |
Ahh, I see. Thank you! :)

You're welcome! :)
