"Aun" y "Aunque"

Hi, can someone please tell me what the difference is between saying "Aun" and "Aunque"? They seem to be used similarly.

Yes, they are similar in usage (in one sense) (Aunque is also "although").
I just give you a couple of examples that may be illustrative,

aun adv = even; ni aun trabajando 12 horas al día podríamos hacerlo = we’d never be able to do it, (not) even if we worked 12 hours a day; aun así, creo que le debes una explicación = even so, I think you owe him an explanation...

aunque (+ indicativo) although; aunque llegamos tarde conseguimos entradas = although or even though we got there late we managed to get tickets

aunque (refiriéndose a posibilidades, hipótesis) (+ subjuntivo) even if; come lo que te sirvan, aunque no te guste = eat whatever you’re given, even if you don’t like it
