Decir y hacer son dos cosas, la segunda es la dificultosa
Can someone please help me with the translation and meaning of following saying "Decir y hacer son dos casas, la segunda es la dificultosa."
Gracias. |
To say [something] and to do [something] are two [different] things, the second one [to do things] is the difficult one.
(By the way, it is "cosas" not "casas", "casas" = "houses" "cosas" = "things".) I.e., one thing is to talk about doing something, and another is to actually do it, which is the difficult part. :) |

Easier said than done.

Look here and below for other ways to say this.
Decir y hacer son dos cosas distintas. Hablar es fácil, hacer difícil. Más fácil el dicho que el hecho. |

En Chile lo cambiamos a "Del dicho al lecho *pudiera* haber mucho o poco trecho" ;) |

[lecho = bed] :whistling: |
