Places all over hell and creation

Places all over hell and creation

The idea I get is in places anywhere and everywhere... but with an hyperbolic exaggerated sense...

I would translate it like,
"lugares por todo lo habido y por haber"
"todos los lugares posibles"

Probably there is an Spanish idiomatic way to say it, like "por el cielo, el infierno y el purgatorio incluidos"... but not quite sure if there is a nice concise Spanish cliché that would match the nice register of this English way of expression...

Any ideas always welcome! :)

Where on Earth* did you come across this phrase? It's not an idiom I recognise.

* Ba-da-bum.

Seriously, pjt? It's a phrase I've heard & used many times, myself. Maybe it's a Yankee thing...

I've never heard it either. Perhaps it's a Creationist thing.

Surely any Creationist would tell you that Hell is part of Creation, for all that it isn't listed in Genesis 1?

opciones (inventadas)
"todos los mundos conocidos y por conocer"
"desde el cielo al infierno"
y por supuesto
"Hasta el infinito y más allá" :D :D :D

Good point, but anyone capable of being a Creationist will not have logical consistency as a high priority.

Some Latin Americans I know use: hice un champú del territorio.
THough not nearly a hyperbolic as the hell -and -creation term it does
indicate a careful an methodic search for something. It usually involves
shopping. Hice un champú de la calle 14 buscando el regalo perfecto.

I think this is used in Spain.

Hey, thank you all!
I must particularly thank Sosia, as he is the one who gives me the options that best fit my contest... I mean, my context! ;)

I take this is an American "creationist", "generativist" kind of thing... given that it sounds "alien" to you British people... but I take it must be used all over Hell, Heaven, Creation and half of the next dimension... (the 5th or the 6th dimension...) (Just kidding, here, I am still trying to figure out all the details of the film "Inception"... so pay no attention to my "excursions...")

At any rate, thank you again... and happy holiday season! :)
