"quiero dar un salto deportivo"
hi everyone, newbie here.first of all thanks for that great forum.
my question is : "lucas biglia en la tv argentina: "quiero dar un salto deportivo" what does this sentence mean? lucas biglia is a football player and made an interview with argentinian tv as i understand. when i translate with google translate,it says : "I want to jump sports" and i thought maybe he declared that he wants to go to better team (jump sports ) or something..but i'm not sure of course. thanks in advance for your help... |
it's a long sentence, so common that usually it's shorted (like this time)
"Quiero dar un salto en mi carrera deportiva"--> "quiero dar un salto deportivo" I want to jump in my sport career - I want to do a sports jump so, as you thought, he declared that he wants to go to better team or do something big to keep his sport career progressing. Happy New Year :D |
thank you very much and ¡Feliz Año Nuevo! :D

I agree with sosia.
He wants to jump teams (play for another team), to better his career, or he wants to take a leap in his sports career. |
Hello.
The phrase is literally form, because in the phrase has a expression very far way of the reality, I mean, in the phrase gives an express an idea and some kind to feeling of the person in this case of the life of the sportsman life. Sincerely yours. |
