Why is it "se llama"? Doesn't se llama mean "she calls herself"? I thought it would be "I call her"...

Ok I think I understand how "acoger" may not fit as naturally as "aceptar" does in my sentence. Thanks for the input. And I see that my spelling problem in English has followed me in Spanish. :)...

¿Por que cambiarías "acojo" y dirías "Acepto"? No usé "acepto" proque no trasmitir comó lo acepté. "Acoger" parese más activo de "acepto" a mi.

The sentence "I am teaching spanish on my own" implies that you are a teacher...
