i think the subjunctive is used for opinions or to attach some kind of emotion to what you're saying rather than just stating a fact.
If you could do a tutorial on por and para i'd find that...

i think people are more likely to say how come when someone has chosen something different to what they would have, e.g. 'how come you bought a small car?' might imply the speaker would have...
