What does "The Chicago way" mean?

"The Chicago way" y "Give and take begins".

The Chicago way? What's that?

Gracias.

I don't know what the exact translation would be but I think it would be something like what you said above.
I think it is a reference to the fact that Chicago politicians have often proved to be corrupt. There is actually a term that refers to the political workings of this area, "The Chicago Machine." This is a reference back to the times of machine politics around the turn of the century, especially the "Tweed Ring", that were based on bribery and corruption. The article talks about the corruption of Blagojevich. The title of the "Chicago Way" is implying that he has followed the tradition of Chicago politics and joined the unscrupulous workings of many Chicago politicians.

"Give and Take Begins" implies that the negotiations have started. "Las negociaciones han comenzado".

I give you something that you want, and you give me (I take) something that I want, and we continue until we are equally happy/unhappy with the result, and then we have an agreement.
