En el presente: I get You get We get They get It gets ------------------------------------ En el pasado: I got You got We got They got It got ---------------------------------------------------- En el perfecto (el sinificado cambia) significa hacerse/ ponerse (principalmente). Tambien significa obtenido pero a mi me suena raro. I have gotten/I've gotten We have gotten/we've gotten You have gotten/you've gotten They have gotten/ they've gotten It has gotten/it's gotten ------------------------------------------------------------- otros significados To get lost/ perderse Last edited by poli; June 05, 2008 at 11:33 AM. |

Poli explained the verb to get well enough, so I don't need to add anything more to his explanation. One thing Poli didn't mention, though, is that got is also used in another verb construction, where it functions as an auxillary, or helping verb. In that construction, it helps the main verb.
Note that many people in the U.S. say I got a present when they mean to say I've got a present. The former is substandard usage. The latter is the correct way to say that you have a present, or you can just say I have a present. Have a good day! Last edited by Rusty; June 05, 2008 at 11:33 AM. |

Good morning.
Poli, other examples. Today I got my Ipod. I have got a dog very cute. I'm getting an kiss of my children. I've gotten a gift of my wife. I'm get to be happy in my life. Yesterday, I got notices goods. I have gotten a new employ. Today, I've got a new employ. Today, I've gotten my ticket of plain for travel to Australia. Today, I got a new toy. There last few days, I have gotten a new toy. I've got... is tengo algo. I've gotten...is eh recibido algo. I'm getting....is Recibiendo algo. I get... Optiendo algo, o volviendose en algo. I got... Obtuve algo, o/e me volvi algo. I have... es tener algo, que igual puedo poner, I have got.... is lo mismo, forma informal es (I got a car, tengo un carro). So, comment Rusty, on U.S.A some people, is mean of say I have a plate of food, other I got a plate of food. I hope that my repertory is well. I await your corrections.
