Creer & subjunctive with interrogatives?
I have read that when asking affirmative questions using "creer", the subjunctive may or may not be used depending on the region.
So, for example, one might say: ¿Crees que tu familia te visite / te vaya a visitar? OR ¿Crees que tu familia te visitará / te va a visitar? I also read that use of the subjunctive in this case is most common in Mexico. However, Rosetta Stone - through which I'm learning Latin American Spanish, provides examples without the subjunctive. Granted, I know that LA is more than just Mexico, but I'm still feeling like I'm getting mixed answers. In trying to learn Mexican Spanish, would I be better off using or not using the subjunctive in these instances? |
