hayas vs has

why did she say no HAYAS encontrado instead of no HAS encontrado?

i always use "HAS" when i am talking to someone. i know it has to do w/ vagueness. HAYAS has broader terms i believe. but she knew what we were talking about. she knew the subject of our conversation.

"te dire algo que pienso, no solo por que no hayas encontrado............"

Ok.

"Had you arrived earlier, we would have taken you to the movies"

Can you tell me the same thing in another way in English?
