El uso de "hace"
I have trouble with the easiest translations of "hace" and the constructions ''desde hace y hace que'' especially when used to express an action that began in the past and continues into the present. Could someone please explain this to me?

I am not sure of what you want. Could you just put example phrases that you have read or heard that you are not getting?

The first one: Desde hace = since or from

second one I am not sure if it is like a question. Hace...que? - Since...What?

¿Desde cuándo vas a la casa? Since when have you been going home?

"Hace", used without an obvious subject, is an impersonal. It gives the idea of "it has been".

Hace mucho que no nos vemos. (It's been long since we have met.)

Juan debería haber llegado hace una hora. (Juan should have arrived one hour ago.)

Pedí mi pizza hace más de 30 minutos. Me la tiene que dar gratis. (I ordered my pizza more than 30 minutes ago. You have to give it to me for free.)

Ok... let me try to construct a few sentences of my own....

¿Desde cuánto tiempo que ella fue? ---> How long has it been since she left?

Hace ventícinco minutos que ella fue. ---> It has been 25 minutes since she left.

¿Donde Va? ---> Where did she go?

Al supermercado. ---> to the supermarket.

En el ejemplo del supermercado, ¿adonde está el "hace"? Pienso que te confundiste con la palabra "hacia"

Would your variation on the second sentence switch around the wording of the sentence to say "She left twenty-five minutes ago"?
