El programa Californication play on words across languages:D

mia culpa
my fault

But I would be grateful to anybody who can explain the difference between un juego de palabras and retruécano.

I think the play on words is not with "mia culpa" but with "mea culpa" (lain).
But the play on words works with spanish too.

juego de palabras

or pjt33's jokes in the jokes's thread
-Mi tío se murió de cataratas.
-¿Le operaron?
-No, le empujaron.

so also a play on words, but usig the same words in an inverse order

Thanks - it is strictly speaking not a play on words, because that would involve a double meaning of a word, which here is not the case.
