@Poli: I think Robin's question is rather how to ask about the kinship between people.
-- ¿Qué es tuyo Juan? -- Es mi primo. -- ¿Qué eres de María? -- Soy su tía. -- Juan está casado con María y la hermana de María está casada con Pedro. ¿Qué es Pedro de Juan? -- Es su concuño (concuñado).
