Por la cara

Por la cara
Necesito ayuda de vosotros, que residís en la Madre Patria:

Me he encontrado en libros y canciones con la expresión "(hacer algo) por la cara", pero nunca he podido, por el contexto, saber qué significa.

Estos son mis ejemplos más recientes...

Hacer algo por la cara, es hacer algo gratis, sin remuneración alguna. O también y creo que es el caso de la primera frase, porque te da la gana.

Yes, "por la cara" is doing something for free , or to do something with no regard for consequences.

" Me colé en la discoteca por la cara"

Tambien puede decirse " por tu cara bonita" en ciertas situaciones.

Gracias a ambos...
"Por tu/su linda cara" se usa bastante por aquí, pero nunca "por la cara".
