Could anyone give me a good translation for mantelpiece? I'm always at a loss how to say it in Spanish.

And I agree with Rusty, repisa de la chimenea or manto de chimenea for mantel, mantelpiece or mantelshelf.

Can you imagine being on holiday right now? In a log cabin complete with smoking chimney, Colin Firth (or whatever girl you fancy), champagne... all the works...
Anyway, dreaming is cheap and so much fun... it even delays the appearance of fine lines...
It's too late, I think I'd better go to bed, because I don't make sense any more...
