Repescar

I know it means to give a second chance, but I am not sure how it is used.
I'm nearly sure you can say me repescaron y no me revocaron mi licencia.., but can you say repéscame por favor?

Can you say me dieron una repesca?

You can say, "repéscame por favor" at your own risk..., because it is not used this way, at least in Spain. You'd say "dame una segunda oportunidad"... depending on what you want to say.

"Me dieron una repesca" I think it can be said without sounding odd.

I think I once heard or read something like that. Now it sounds totally alien.
