Not exactly years but still numbers.
Wanna know how to say King Charles I. in Spanish. You see, in English it's one and first. You say rey Carlos de Un / Uno (if you say it out loud out), if you something like rey Carlos I? |

Same in Spanish. We use ordinal numbers (primero, segundo, tercero...): "El rey Carlos primero".
