"Se dice hubiera o habría" porque sé que se usa un tipo de subjuntivo porque he dicho "no creo", pero la otra parte de la frase he dicho "había usado" porque era algo que había pasado. Pero no estoy seguro de que lo haya dicho bien. ¿Me puedes corregir y ayudar entender por qué?

Le convendría repasar las explicaciones ofrecidas por los distintos usuarios en temas pasados, de esta manera, evitaría reincidir en ciertos yerros.

La estructura "no creo que" obliga a que, al menos, el verbo inmediatamente posterior se presente en subjuntivo; ésta es la razón para "hubiera" o "hubiese".

Por otra parte, y no menos trascendental, el verbo pegar y varios más presentan dualidad transitiva/intransitiva con consiguiente cambio en el significado:

Pegar + OD = To paste
Pegar + OI = To hit
