Be careful with the use of the word "ñero". It may have a pejorative meaning, and sometimes people don't take it very well. You can use "mano", which is far more positive, always as a slang word.

I favour "No es la edad sino el kilometraje", which is the usual one here.
I favour even more "No es lo que dice el almanaque sino lo que marca el odómetro", but regrettably the youngest half of the population now comes with very low language quality and they won't understand it (or ever try).

"No se trata de la edad, sino de las ganas de mocedad"... "Nada que ver con la edad, es la fuerza de voluntad"... Bueno, estas son algunas improvisaciones, por si sirven de algo... (la verdad es que no creo que ninguna de estas se usan en España... ) Saludos cordiales.
