In Argentina there's the common phrase "no reparar en gastos", to spend what's needed to reach a goal, no matter it's an awful lot of money.
I also remember it used in dubbed media, probably because it leads to shorter sentences, not because it's common.

In Mexico it's becoming high register and/or old-fashioned in the sense that you haven't noticed something or paid attention to it. I think most people older than 40 years old will understand immediately what you mean, even if they don't use the verb like that themselves. Younger people... I'm not sure, unless they read and have a broad vocabulary.
- Hay un árbol lleno de flores amarillas cerca de mi casa. Nunca había reparado en él. Tal vez no había dado flores antes. - Chocamos porque el chofer no reparó en las señales de precaución. - Teníamos un reloj de colección en la casa y no reparamos en su valor hasta que alguien quiso comprarlo.
