"Do you" "Did you" etc.

How would you say these things in Spanish?
If I want to say "Do you play baseball" what do I say?
If I want to say "Did you go to the store to get milk yesterday?" what do I say?
I've always had confusion with that.

Just generally "did you" and "do you" before a word.. is it needed in Spanish?
Do you play baseball.. Juegas el béisbol?
Did you go to the store ... Has ido a la tienda para obtener leche ayer?

Is the word did and do just not used and you just change your tone to sound like a question? The first seems right but the second looks wrong.

Very good question. When we ask a question in English, the verb gets split into auxiliary and main verbs and the subject is sandwiched in between them. That doesn't happen in Spanish. The same verb you use to state a fact is the same one you use to ask a question.

Spanish uses an upside-down question mark (also found in the 'Accents' pull-down menu just above the text box). When you speak, the intonation changes, as you surmised.

The verb jugar is followed by the preposition 'a', so the question is:
¿Juegas al béisbol?

The preposition 'a' and the article 'el' are joined.

Did you go = you went = fuiste

Have you gone = you've gone = has ido
