@Lou Ann: Check your sentences, and find the parts of them that are direct object, indirect object, or subject.

The subject is something generic, like in English "it" in "it is my turn". Right? The indirect object is me ... the turn (to pay) is to me. Right? The direct object would be "la cuenta....", right?

Right - I just don't understand why it's not "toca pagarmela"? I thought that both IO and DO pronouns needed to be in the same position, either both before the conjugated verb OR both attached to the end of the infinitive. Why are they separated? Why can't they be placed together?

Me toca pagarla
Me toca pagarmela Me toca pagar la cuenta - me toca pagarla ( it´s more general it doesn´t specify if the money comes from you or sb else) me toca pagarme la cuenta- me toca pagarmela.( here it means, that the bill was paid by sb else for you and now you pay it yourself) No obstante el me hace referencia a tocar, y la a pagar. A quién le toca tirar los dados ahora? Me toca a mí. A mí me toca. Es un verbo tipo gustar. So you're saying that if you put any of those verbs, conjugated, with an infinitive, you separate the DO pronoun and the IO pronoun?
By the way - thanks for that link. It's very helpful. But I have a question. Is "parecar" supposed to be "parecer"? Or are they two words that have similar meanings?

@Lou Ann:
El radio -> the device La radio -> the signal In Mexico, most people will say "el radio", as they identify the sound coming from the device more than the signal itself. It is considered more appropriate/educated to use "la radio" though. "Me" is not a suffix of "pagar" because it's related to "tocar", and those pronouns are separated from conjugated verbs.
