Bundle of joy
What would be the best translation into Spanish for "bundle of joy"? (referring to a newborn baby)
Cambridge Klett gives, "to be a bundle of joy" = ser un cascabel. And Oxford Superlex also gives, that child is a bundle of joy/mischief = ese niño es un cascabel/un diablillo. But these bilingual dictionaries don't give the sense of "baby'' or don't necessarily refer to it. In some other places "bundle of joy" is defined as "a baby", but sarcastically, one that gives a lot of trouble. The "diablillo" option may be usable, but not for a newborn that is really a pain in the..., really... which is what I want in my context... Something like, este bebé es un cascabel, o este 'cascabel de niño' may work used with a bit of sarcasm, if the baby is crying all night or something on that order, or would “este ramillete de alegría” be something understandable and somewhat funny?... Anyone remember a typical similar Spanish expression for a baby?

En México: "andar hecho una campanita"/"ser una campanita" (en el caso de un niño alegre)
En el caso irónico de un bebé, "es un regalo de dios".  Ah, y además existe "ser la alegría del hogar", que se puede usar en sentido literal e irónico también.

¿Y de dónde saco yo la risa? Del saquito de platita... Better be a "bundle of joy" than "a bundle of nerves"... Mejor disfrutar de la "joie de vivre" que "vivir joto" (joto = atado en Colombia) Bueno, mejor no desvariemos... gracias una vez más, por ser "such a good and fine bunch"
