Contexto:
Lisa used all her savings -- $4,000 -- to buy a car because she needed one to keep her job. A few months later, she stopped making payments, and the dealer repossessed the car. That led to her getting fired.

Mi traducción:
Lisa ocupó todos sus ahorros -$4.000- para comprar un automóvil pues lo necesitaba para mantener su empleo. Pocos meses más tarde cesó los pagos, y el commerciante le embargó el auto. Esto le hizo creer que sería despedida.

Estoy de acuerdo con Poli. Ella no creyó que la despedirían sino que de hecho perdió el empleo.

That led to her getting fired. -> Eso llevó a que la despidieran. / Eso provocó que fuera despedida.
