I came across this forum while searching for a translation.
Seems like a great place and a lot of helpful people.
I currently live in Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. It is a large expat community, so I can 'get by' without being fluent in Spanish, however I feel I am missing out on a lot of great people and experiences by not being more knowledgable, so...I'm learning!

My aunt and uncle lived in Lake Chapala for many years.
My uncle learned to speak Spanish. Not so much my aunt.
She hung around with all the English speakers.
I lived in San Miguel De Allende Guanajuato. I loved it!
My son-in-law is from Michoacan on the other side of Lake Chapala
and I visted his pinteresco home town.
