(These coins are proving useful, but I will turn peniless if I use them too much lol) Just suggesting to make it sound more natural. Everything Rusty corrected is a 100% grammatical.I am going shopping today. Voy de compras hoy. ![]() Hoy me voy de comprasI hope that I can find something to wear to the dinner party at Marie's house tonight. It is wonderful that Marie takes the time to entertain all her friends. She is an excellent host and a great cook. If I had her skill at cooking, I would be a great chef. Si yo fuera la mitad de buena, pondria un restaurante.I know how to cook, but nothing I create in the kitchen ever turns out well.

Doesn't "peniless" have another n in it or is it the British way of spelling it? Penniless... |

Subjunctive in that sentence is 100% ungrammatical and sounds weird.
Pls don't go by the book....Mr. T is right. Nth you make in the kitchen IS actually good.No hay nadie que tenga frio is a different ball. If there is nobody, automatically we enter subjunctive (putative, hypothetical field) ![]() Cmon, the best comprehensive Spanish grammar is the one written by JM Alcina y Rafael Blecua. Very good book, reminds me of Randolph Quirk's Saludos |
