Historically, accents were not required on capital letters due to physical restrictions with typeface (or something like that). Current thought seems to prefer accenting all letters that need it, even if it is a capital letter. (That's my personal preference as well).

Concerning this example.... I intended the first sentence to illustrate the use of an "el" conjugation, and the second a "yo" conjugation. That's why I preceded the sentences with the markers "(El)" and "(Yo)". They weren't supposed to be part of the actual sentence. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
