En México, el sufijo "-ete" con mucha frecuencia implica un diminutivo peyorativo.
Se fue con sus amiguetes (o amigotes). He left with his darn friends. Es un vejete entrometido. He's a meddlesome old man. (In a very disrespectful way towards an elderly person.) El profesorete que vino al salón tuvo que irse cuando los alumnos le hicieron preguntas. The (stupid) teacher who came to the classroom had to leave when the students asked him questions. ...pero en este caso, yo diría que podría ser un término de cariño. ![]()

I use it usually as affectionate term "eres un solete",a lso for a person making you a favour
A (a su vecino B) -Puedes vigilar mi casa mientras estoy de vacaciones? B- Si, por supuesto C- gracias A, eres un solete saludos ![]()
