Muy ocupada......

Yesterday I wrote the following in an email: "Esta semana fue muy ocupada para mi."

Now that I'm thinking about it, I wonder if this sentence doesn't actually work the way I've written it. Can a "week" be "busy", or should I have reworded it to say that "I" have been "busy"?

Should it have been something like this? "Esta semana, yo estaba muy ocupada." ???

Esta semana estuve muy ocupada.
Esta semana he estado muy ocupada.
Esta semana fue muy ocupada para mí.

Are the same in different tenses.

You just worry too much about ridiculing yourself. Just plow ahead, and everybody will help you. People tend to help when they see an effort put forth.

Now, that doesn't mean that one will not raise some laughters on the way, but if you inquire about the cause of laughter, most likely you will end up laughing at yourself too, and it won't be detrimental to you, on the contrary.

I believe in my own view point you should have written Estube muy ocupada esta semana.

Can you also say it like this?

Esta semana era muy ocupada para mi.

Nope. The week has ended, so the preterite is used. The imperfect indicates ongoing, habitual, or repeated action.

@Lou Ann: Your intuition is correct on the fact that it's you the one who's busy and not the week.
The usual sentence is "estuve (muy) ocupada esta semana" and Hernán's variations.
However, some people also say "tuve una semana muy ocupada".

Y también se dice "la semana estuvo muy ocupada (para mí)" =it was a busy week.
