Addled

I'd like to know the meaning of addled in the following sentences, please:

This soufflé is addled.
¿Podrido?

That parliament was addled.


His brain is addled.
¿Confundido?

addled brain=un mente hecho menos fuerte por varios razones (droga, edad,un matrimonio malo, alcohol)

addled parliament= un palimento inefectivo for varios razones (corrupción,
quereles personales,etc)

addled soufflé=un soufflé caido

Interesting word. Addle is an old word for urine, and ovum urinum is a translation of ουριον ωον, the wind-egg from Aristophanes Clouds. Anyway, it means rotten or putrid, and is usually used for an egg which is bad. Possibly then the eggs used in a soufflé were bad, but I'm guessing here.

No. Debería ser traducido por desinflado, lo cuál me salté la frase completamente...

Tengo una tía que sufría mucho cuando se le "caía" el soufflé, así que no me suena nada raro "soufflé caído". Pero no tengo nada en contra de "desinflado".
