Sorry, never heard of it.
I know an Italian "passata di pomodoro", which is a smooth tomato sauce. ¿No será una pasta de chile de algún tipo? ![]()

Okay, thank you anyhow... I now tend to believe it must be some kind of "typo" and it is actually what you say (Angélica) "Passata di pomodoro" which is made with some onion, basil... pepper?

![]() @Pablo: I have seen it prepared with many ingredients (basic ones being tomato, a little onion, basil, a touch of garlic...), but what gives it the name (as I've been told), is that the sauce is passed through a sieve, to make it smooth. ![]()
