Nice one. That is definitely a subjunctive, but a subjunctive mood of make. As before, show still remains a (short) infinitive.

This is getting rather philosophical, methinks...

If a tree fell in the forest... and there were no forum members around to discuss about its falling... would the shadow still show?

Isn't that quite a conundrum?

Or like an old friend used so say, "Agárrame esa mosca por el rabo..."

Would that the sun show my shadow (I hope the sun shows my shadow) - me parece bien.

BTW: I'm sorry I wrote that my attempt at the subjunctive sounds Shakespearian. It's foolish for me to compare my writing to his. I think Elizabethan would be a better term. Not this Elizabeth of course.

Chileno, thanks for the compliment that I know grammar. It really is difficult, and sometimes I don't think I know it well enough.
