I am confused with the literal translation of the following sentence in Spanish:

Manuel de Alba y de Lomelín, originario de la labor de Acazico y bautizado en nochistlán el 2 de agosto de 1674.

Google Translate gives:

Manuel de Alba and Lomelin, originally from the work of Nochistlán Acazico and baptized in the August 2, 1674.

I am sure there is another interpretation that brings into focus the meaning of the sentence. I feel th sentence is trying to communicate the birthplace of the individual. (Old Spanish??)

"Labor" may be used in the sense of an agricultural zone (a small one).

Please note that translation machines can't give you a good translation for most sentences.

Manuel de Alba y Lomelin, originario de (who was born in) la labor de (the rural community of) Acaxico, y bautizado (baptized) en Nochistlán.
