Please note that "respeto a su familia" is a correct sentence, but the meaning is very different from "respete a su familia" and from "respetar a su familia".
- "Respeto" is the conjugation of the verb respetar in present tense for first person singular (yo), and the sentence is a statement. - "Respete" is the imperative form for second person singular (usted), so the sentence is an order. - "Respetar" is the infinitive form, and the formula all alone sounds like a fragmentary sentence, unless it's enouncing a behaviour principle.
