Junto A La

For a long while now I have been a bit curious as to what it exactly means to say "junto a la".

In the song "porque te vas" Jeanette sings "junto a la estación lloraré igual que un niño". The train station, I think. Does this mean that she would cry while leaning against the wall of the station? Or that she would be in front of the station or off to the side?

And a long time ago I remember reading about a figure from The Old Testament who fell "junto a la pared". So does it just mean the same as "against", he fell against the wall?

Any example sentences?

"Junto a" means "next to", it describes something or someone that is close enough as to be side to side with something or someone else.

In the song there's no indication to know where she is physically; if she's in a car or a public bench, or if she's standing or sitting down on the floor crying. "Junto a la estación" just means that she'll be outside the station, but quite close as to be near the walls or the entrance. She wouldn't get away from it or go inside; she'd just cry nearby.

The person who fell "junto a la pared" just fell down very close to the wall, next to it.

A man was walking beside me and he stole my wallet.
