Western Civ. Question
Why was the Congress of Vienna made up of mostly reactionaries? What effect did their views & policies gave on the spread of liberalism & nationalism throughout Europe?
The Congress of Vienna was made up of mostly reactionaries because the more, the better. The reactionaries wanted to keep Absolute Monarchy, and stop the spread of liberalism and nationalism. Their views effected the spread of liberalism greatly. They wanted to stop it from spreading, The only way to peace was to restore absolute monarchy. Are these good answers? if not, give some help on the best answers.....
