Agarrate que hay curvas

Literally, it would be "hang on/sit tight, there are some curves ahead". ¿O tiene un significado figurado?

EStas en lo cierto, tiene sentido figurado como la mayoría de mis expresiones. Usamos agarráte que hay curvas. Por ejemplo:
Es de agarráte que hay curvas, cuando una persona es muy difícil o muy violenta, o muy rata etc.... para decir que es muy peculiar en algún aspecto.
Cuando en alguna situación existe peligro tambien usamos la misma expresión .
Me temo que en inglés dependerá del contexto.
