sentient

What would be the best word for sentient in Spanish? I see sensible and sensitivo in the dictionary.

Thanks.

sentient:being is capable of experiencing things through its senses.
Not a common spanish word
Some people use "sentiente", but usually only in the term "sentient computing" (Turing Test) or in comics.
I would use "sensitivo/a" or "perceptivo/a". "sensible" is more common language , and in some cases "consciente" (conscient), but I need the context.

Thanks sosia, I appreciate the help. The context would be like "a sentient creature" as in a creature that has feelings and is sensitive.

If you think a rabbit hat only internal reactions (no feelings) then
Es una criatura sensitiva
If you think a rabbit has/can have feelings (and a plant not), then:
Es una criatura sensible -> a rabbit
Es una criatura sensitiva -> a plant

a creature that has feelings and is sensitive --> Una criatura sensible y perceptiva.--> feelings is "higher mental action" than sensitive --> "una criatura sensible " is the best option

Hope it helps

Thanks a lot for the input. I'm going to use "una criatura sensible" That sounds like the best option.
