Hi,

I want to describe the climate of a place as
"Hot,hotter and hottest" in spanish.

Am not sure what to say for hotter and hottest, need help.

I'm not sure about hottest

Hola,
En la ciudad del Madrid hace más calor que en A Coroña
<in spanish hotter = x is more/less than y

Pero en Andalucía hace el más de calor
<hottest = más x

también se usa ...
En Barcelona hace tan mucho calor como en Valencia
In Barcelona it makes as much heat as en Valencia (The temperatures in Barcelona and Valencia are the same)

La ciudad A es calurosa, la ciudad B es más calurosa y la ciudad C es la más calurosa de las tres.

El clima de la ciudad A es cálido y el de la ciudad B más cálido, pero el de la ciudad C es el más cálido de todos.

En la ciudad A hace calor, en la ciudad B hace más calor y en la ciudad C hace más calor que en las otras dos.

I am not comparing the climate of 3 cities so I will go with

"caliente, mas caliente, el/la/lo mas caliente" but should I choose among el/la and lo.

My sentence is "I would personally describe the climate of the city as hot,hotter and hottest".

Some things are just not suitable for translation I guess. Or difficult to find an equivalent of.

Out of curiosity, how would you translate ' Some like it hot' ?

' Some like it hot', as in sexually teasing. (Oh I remember the Duran Duran song too now.. )

The spanish name of the movie it's "con faldas y a lo loco" something like "going crazy with skirts"
usually, only 10% of the movies have the original movie name.
Famous ones are the trilogys:
"Beverly hills cop" --> "superdetective en Hollywood"
"Die hard" --> "la jungla de cristal"

Spanish movietitles (translated from American/ Hollywood titles) can be really funny... I wonder where/how they came up with 'con faldas y a lo loco'
