" Un hombre ,una mujer,puden,...y por motivos a cuál más extraño y pintoresco,buscartse otro apelido.." Quiere decir "igual"? "o..o" ?

Es como si compitieran para ver quien tiene los motivos más extraños y pintorescos. No es que exista tal competencia, pero así parece por lo extremo del caso.

Alec,en otras palabras podríamos decir,otros por motivos extraños y otras por pintorescos,o vive versa ?eso es el sentido /

"...y por los motivos más extraños o más pintorescos del mundo..."

"A cual más" significa eso en ese contexto y más aún, pero el "más aún" no tiene traducción.
