Yes, but this is not the issue which @Irmamar was asking about. In English the singular could be either a game of cards or a card game. The question was whether when using the noun card(s) as an adjective, it should be singular or plural. After all, the game always involves more than one card, otherwise it might be a bit boring. So she is quite right in asking whether the singular is card game

@Perikles, Sorry, you misuderstood me, I was not correcting Irmamar at all. I'm merely clarifying that if more than one type of card game is involved then it should be "card games". That would be the day when I see someone playing solitaire with one card!!!
