Well, I have lived where many a Yankee roamed the land with the buffalo and to tell you the truth they all sound the same (not the yankee and the buffalo). I mean the Yankee and any other non Spanish speaking person....well maybe not John Wayne. To me anyways....

I learned English and Spanish because I was raised speaking both languages. No formal Spanish schooling until I became an adult.

Well I assumed we would sound more or less the same too, but a couple of weeks ago a guy from Washington joined our Spanish class at uni, and for the life of me I could barely understand a word he said when he spoke Spanish!!

I listen to podcasts for Spanish language learners. One of them is done by some Scots who are fluent in Spanish. I strongly believe that their accent is different than mine when speaking Spanish. But, obviously, I wouldn't know........

I've dealt with a few foreigners who can speak Spanish pretty well, and I've found that British people tend to care a lot about the pronunciation of vowels and "r" sounds. They also care for grammar.
Most of the Americans I know tend to pronounce vowels and "r"s the way they do in English and they also try to translate word for word what they would have said in English. That makes it a little hard to understand them some times. Although that's very different when they have learnt another language like French or German before.

Soy inglesa pero vivo en Irlanda y voy a la universidad aquí, y en mi clase todos mis profesores dicen que la pronunciación de 'r' es muy importante, si no se pronuncie 'r' como los españoles en un examen, es probable que se repuebe. Pero sí, estoy de acuerdo, el chico américano en mi clase pronuncia sus 'r's como un estadounidense todo el tiempo, ¡a mí suena terrible!

Estudio el español porque mis padres lo hablan. El español es la lengua nativa de mi madre, y mi padre lo aprendió cuando tenía 19 años. Muchas veces hablaban en español para que yo y mi hermano no entendiéramos. Quería entenderlos(les?) y hablarles.

Pienso que france sea mas facil que ingles porque france ya tiene la misma estructura de frases. Mientras que ingles tiene reglas a reglas que contradice otras reglas.

Y estudio espanol porque a mi me encanta los idiomas. Si pude, estudiaria todos los idiomas del mundo. Pero tambien, quiero ser un profesor de espanol.

You should give French another try. I know some French, and it has really helped my Spanish comprehension quite a bit, because a ton of words are very similar in French and Spanish. French should actually be easier for you than English. It would be a little bit harder than Italian, but it's not that hard.

Yes I believe that same, I should to study French at least a little for on my own, solely that I don't speak English very well and my goal is speaks English at least in 80 per cent for me, I write English but some mistakes that even I do occasionally naturally I'm not native American or British, but my time has token to learn this language in fact three years and half has took to learn this language for myself.

Now if I try to learn other language, I get a confusion, because nor I will learn correctly the English and much less the French.

Although I'm not close to that possibility, also I didn't find some place here in my city where it gives French training for people.

Do you know some website where I can get that?
